Update 9/9/2024: Host Flights Booked

Adventurers - I’ve booked my flight to South Africa, and here are the details if anyone wants to join me. I’ll be flying out of LAX with United Airlines, departing on June 12 and arriving in Cape Town on June 13, three days before our trip begins. While there are no specified group flights, feel free to reach out with any questions. I’ll be staying at The Portswood (or a similar hotel) near the waterfront for my pre-nights, and we can coordinate pre-trip activities closer to the event. Kevin, your host for the June 18-30 trip, will also be arriving a couple of days early on June 15.

Here are my flight details: LAX to Cape Town with a stop in Washington, DC (UA1140/UA1011), departing at 8:15 AM on June 12, and returning from Victoria Falls to LAX on June 30 (UA6474/UA2222/UA2234), arriving at 3:20 PM. Let me know if you have any questions!

Flights:

Travelers are responsible for arranging their own transportation. Your flights into South Africa should be booked into Cape Town, arriving no later than June 16 for Departure 1 with Chris and June 18 for Departure 2 with Kevin. Flights back home should be booked from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, leaving on June 28 for Chris's group or on June 30 for Kevin's group.

Travel Insurance:

We suggest TravelEX Insurance Services - Click here for a quote. Travel insurance is mandatory. You must provide proof of insurance to join the group. The policy should include medical coverage and at least USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue. We also recommend coverage for personal liability, cancellation, curtailment, and loss of luggage and personal effects. Most insurance companies require policies to be purchased within 15 day of initial payment of the trip for full coverage/cancellation insurance. Please send proof of travel insurance to chris@prideat.com once you have purchased it, and I will save it within your departure details.

For this trip, I'm especially thrilled to guide you through the stunning region of Manuel Antonio, ensuring every aspect is perfectly planned and executed.

In the past, I have spent time exploring various beautiful locations in Costa Rica, including San Jose, the Santa Rosa area near the Pacific Ocean and the Nicaragua border, Tamarindo, Monteverde Cloud Forest, and Arenal Volcano.
